NOVEMBER 2018 QUESTS.
QUICK N' DIRTY FAQ
How do I complete a quest? For the most part, all you need to do is a link to your (AC length) quest thread under the appropriate heading! As this quests are now the primary way to acquire REP, you will not need to submit elsewhere!
Can I sign up for more than one quest at once? Yep, that's fine!
What makes my quest complete? In order to obtain the information and rewards for each quest, you must submit an AC length thread under the correct quest heading in the comments below. If you sign up for a quest and fail to submit a thread, your characters will not reap the rewards of the quest.
For a group thread only, AC length is considered 10+ total comments as a whole, rather than 5 per character. If a character is not actively participating, they will not be considered for the reward!
When do quests have to be "done"? Typically, a quest that is time-sensitive will be "due" - meaning an AC length thread must be submitted, not necessarily a complete log - by the end of the given availability period. This is usually the end of the month! However, if you sign up for a quest with a time-sensitive due date very close to said date, we'll be flexible and let you know when to get a response in. Quests that do not have a time-sensitive due date are obviously not "due" within a given time frame.
Can I play the other side of these criminal quests? Will I get anything out of it? Yes and sort of! If you would like your character to discover these quests and oppose what is taking place, for example: a member of the guard stopping a smuggling job, you may. However, they will not receive positive recognition from the NPCs putting out these quests or special recognition from others, as it is already expected of them or just another regular occurrence of vigilante justice. We encourage plotting with quest takers solely for the experience of threading that interaction out.
Please list all involved characters under the sign ups thread so we know what's going on! If you have any questions about what kind of opposing actions can be taken, ask us! Keep in mind that these oppositions would follow the same rule as quest success: if there is not an AC length thread submitted, we cannot give you a specific result.

NOVEMBER 2018 QUESTS
OLYMPIA: Eat Your Fill
CLIENT: Olympia
For Olympians, feasting is an activity worth any excuse. This time, one of the largest, most beloved restaurants in the market district is hosting a contest! Whoever can eat the most may dine at their venue - with up to five guests each visit - for a year. The catch? They’re trying out recipes. With their menu in severe need of a revamp, the owner has given his chefs free reign to experiment all they’d like. If your food arrives and it’s burnt, count your blessings. Some platters may try to crawl away, while others might slither back up your throat. Some will leave you exhausted for days, and others may send you into an episode of mania. Anything could happen.

QUEST DUE: Sunday 12/23 11:59pm EST

▸ One RNGed participant after turn-ins - free food for a year.

OLYMPIA: Hinit to Win It
CLIENT: Lysa
Lysa’s clinic is hard at work replenishing their stores of medications and vaccinations. Ysverai’s rampage several months ago left their supplies quite depleted, and while they’re almost back up to where they were before the dragon’s resurrection, there’s one last thing they need: the poison glands of a creature called the Hinit. At first glance, it is indistinguishable from a common green lizard, but when it is about to bite it stands on its hind legs and a brightly-colored frill fans out from its neck.
A Hinit’s poison is fast-acting and potent, causing numbness of the extremities within seconds, violent illness within half an hour, and paralysis within an hour of a bite. However, in very small doses, the poison is an important ingredient in the creation of a vaccine for a flu-like illness that strikes Olympia every couple of years. This particular disease hasn’t been seen last year or the year before, so it is all the more imperative that they stock up on the vaccinations now.
The clinic will provide small doses of the antidote in case of any accidental bites, but they could certainly use some extra hands in slaying the creatures and gathering what they need.

WYVER: Sacred Monument
CLIENT: Heryn
Recently, there have been reports of vandals chipping away at Ysverai’s statue. While technically on neutral ground, Wyver takes this infraction against its great dragon as a national assault. Unfortunately, investigating this matter requires constant surveillance over a massive area. The Knightryders cannot handle the task alone, thus Heryn’s (ghost written) plea for help. To all, Wyvern, Olympian, Thesan, they beseech aid in sparing this great national treasure anymore defacement. While they don’t suspect their neighbors of this infraction, the Knightryders will demand any apprehended criminals brought straight to them, rather than across the border. They’ll take their captives alive, at least for now...
SIGN-UPS? Yes. Please note if you would like to participate in this quest as a captive. Upon reaching five (5) characters signed up for this role, there will be a special flash quest from Cree to rescue his agents.

▸ 500 silver per captive
▸ +1 Wyver REP
WYVER: Strut Your Stuff
CLIENT: Wyver
With the holiday fast approaching, the spirit of revelry is rekindled in the people of Wyver. It doesn’t take much to get them in a partying mood, and they’re eager to get their festivities started. A nation-wide fashion show has been announced, judged by Shenya himself, featuring some of the most cutting edge designs on a thrilling array of models - including Thesans. There’s a particular market for these heroes to participate in such a show of opulence, so much so that any known Thesan is likely to be approached and asked to make an appearance. Those too shy to wear the bold furs and revealing cuts of Wyver’s top couturiers may be offered a front row seat to the show. These performances are participatory. The catwalk slopes down into the crowd, where the model and their clothing are touched, tugged, and toyed with. Interacting with the viewers in a way that compliments the clothing is of utmost importance.

NADRIL: Mapquest 2kXX
CLIENT: Nurray
One unfortunate side-effect of having been cut off from the other countries for so long is that their maps are a bit out of date. However, thanks to the wonders of technology, there is an easy way of fixing that. Natives of Nadril will outfit any of the Thesaens who ask with a mapping app on their network devices - all they need to do is engage the app and take pictures of the scenery around them, and it will upload the data into a server that will generate the maps in real time. Maybe take a few selfies while you’re at it… what’s the worst that could happen?

NADRIL: Sunken Treasure
CLIENT: Nurray
An ice fisherman has returned from one of the lakes in a panic - the surface of the lake was not quite as solid as it seemed, and while he has escaped without falling in, he’s lost many of his supplies and belongings that were with him out on the ice. While attempting to fish some of them out from a safe location, he encountered two things he wasn’t expecting: an underwater creature with sharp teeth that he’s never seen before, and what looked like some kind of treasure chest.
As a result, they’re setting out on an expedition to figure out just what is down there, and could use as many hands as possible. Wetsuits and breathing apparatuses should protect you from the icy cold water, but there are carnivorous fish the size of a grown man swimming underneath here. They can’t see well but are drawn to the lights being used to see under the water.
Sure enough, there are plenty of chests that have sunk down to the depths of this lake. Retrieve them and bring them back to the surface, and you will be rewarded.

The Gilded Cage: Just a Bit of Dust
CLIENT: Cree
The statue of Darma and Ysverai, eternally entangled with one another, is an amazing relic. Somehow, it’s become a peace monument, despite a sense of serenity being the farthest thing anyone experiences when they get close. The dragon’s fell magic still lingers, elevating anger and bitterness while lowering inhibitions and igniting a spark of violence in everyone who drifts near. Many stand in awe of the monument, but few stay long. Cree isn’t asking anyone to spend much time there, either - in fact he suggests you make it quick. Scrape off some of the stone dust from either the dragon or Darma’s form, and bring it back to him. Get enough, and he’ll award his hard workers with some of its magic. But take caution, Wyver has caught onto this little scheme, and seems to have bolstered their guards in the area.
SIGN-UPS? No, but may require some coordination with Wyver's "Sacred Monument" quest
QUEST DUE: Sunday 12/23 11:59pm EST
REWARD:
▸ 1-5 participating threads: 1,000 silver and small, non magical trinket
▸ 5+ participating threads: 1,000 silver and personalized magical trinket
The Gilded Cage: Not Quite Terror
CLIENT: Cree
Wyver isn’t the only place putting on a fashion show, though the vestments Cree offers are far less exciting: the garb of the Olympian Royal Guard, cut to any measurements necessary. This simple task isn’t for the timid - don the colors of Olympia, and take to their streets. Stir up trouble, abuse the authority you’ve stolen, and escape before you’re discovered. He suggests you endeavor this at night time, but he’ll hardly get in the way of someone’s daytime whim. There’s nothing to bring back, in this case, except the uniform and yourself - his little birds will be watching. Just be sure not to end up in a shop you’ve helped in the Cage’s name, they may recognize you.
