SEPTEMBER 2018 QUESTS
QUICK N' DIRTY FAQ
How do I complete a quest? For the most part, all you need to do is a link to your (AC length) quest thread under the appropriate heading! As this quests are now the primary way to acquire REP, you will not need to submit elsewhere!
Can I sign up for more than one quest at once? Yep, that's fine!
What makes my quest complete? In order to obtain the information and rewards for each quest, you must submit an AC length thread under the correct quest heading in the comments below. If you sign up for a quest and fail to submit a thread, your characters will not reap the rewards of the quest.
For a group thread only, AC length is considered 10+ total comments as a whole, rather than 5 per character. If a character is not actively participating, they will not be considered for the reward!
When do quests have to be "done"? Typically, a quest that is time-sensitive will be "due" - meaning an AC length thread must be submitted, not necessarily a complete log - by the end of the given availability period. This is usually the end of the month! However, if you sign up for a quest with a time-sensitive due date very close to said date, we'll be flexible and let you know when to get a response in. Quests that do not have a time-sensitive due date are obviously not "due" within a given time frame.
Can I play the other side of these criminal quests? Will I get anything out of it? Yes and sort of! If you would like your character to discover these quests and oppose what is taking place, for example: a member of the guard stopping a smuggling job, you may. However, they will not receive positive recognition from the NPCs putting out these quests or special recognition from others, as it is already expected of them or just another regular occurrence of vigilante justice. We encourage plotting with quest takers solely for the experience of threading that interaction out.
Please list all involved characters under the sign ups thread so we know what's going on! If you have any questions about what kind of opposing actions can be taken, ask us! Keep in mind that these oppositions would follow the same rule as quest success: if there is not an AC length thread submitted, we cannot give you a specific result.

SEPTEMBER 2018 QUESTS
OLYMPIA: Shades Lighter
CLIENT: Koralle
Although a place like Shades Darker is never lacking in customers, it does find itself lacking in supplies as of late. The general unrest and chaos have disrupted Koralle’s suppliers, leaving the famed brothel lacking in all sorts of goods, from the more mundane to the perilously exotic. The brothel will need people to pick up the slack, ranging from simply retrieving wine from the vineyards outside the city, to... acquiring goods that only special backroom cliente get access to. The kinds of things you don’t want the Guard to catch you with: dangerous aphrodisiacs, rare delicacies, illegal drugs. The less her transporters know, the better. Of course, moving the riskier supplies brings with it the promise of higher compensation, but if you’re caught smuggling, don’t expect anyone to intercede on your behalf.

OLYMPIA: Reformation of the Guards
CLIENT: Ashti
Recent events have left the morale of Olympia in shambles, with faith in the Royal Guard at an all time low. Realizing something must be done to restore the people's confidence in their protectors, they have begun to organize an event aimed at making people forget the past and move forward: a majestic tourney. All are invited to participate, members of the Royal Guard and outsiders alike, to show off their skills in a wide range of events. From jousting to archery contests, melee to one-on-one duels, one can find almost any form of martial competition here. Those who participate will be paid modestly for their time, though those who excel will earn themselves more impressive prizes. The tourney will span an entire week, and of course spectators are welcome to observe at no cost.
SIGN-UPS? Yes, your opponent will be RNG'd
QUEST DUE: Wed 10/31 11:59pm EST
REWARD:
▸ Unique Olympia item
▸ +1 Olympia REP for participating
WYVER: Lullaby for the Dragons
CLIENT: Thali
The rage and subsequent binding of Ysverai has left the smaller dragons native to Wyver in a violent, unsettled state. They roam the city and the countryside in search of something, though they never seem to find what it is, and in their wake they leave injured people and damaged buildings. Thali would like to bring them back to the Fields of the Exalted where they can’t hurt themselves or others. She recommends venturing into the Undergrowth to fetch the blossom of a rare plant that the locals call Dragonflower. The petals can be boiled down to make a perfume that will catch a dragon’s attention and cause them to follow the scent. The catch is that the flower is very difficult to find, and has only been spotted in the deepest, darkest parts of the Undergrowth, protected by dangerous creatures...
SIGN-UPS? No
QUEST DUE: Sunday 10/21 11:59pm EST
REWARD:
▸ 100 silver per person for a Dragonflower blossom
▸ +1 Wyver REP for returning a dragon to the Fields of the Exalted
WYVER: Rise of the Ryders
CLIENT: Thali
With Rasyc and his Fangs gone, the Knightyders Order is Wyver’s only organized defense force. Though the Fangs acted in secrecy, their fall from grace has left a power vacuum among Wyver’s criminal underbelly. Some of the former Fangs have gone into business for themselves, using their old information and connections to become the very corruption they once existed to fight against. Though the Knightryders were once focused only on guarding Wyver from outside threats, that oversight contributed to the theft of Ysverai’s heart. The Ryders have begun recruiting more vigorously, even enlisting the aid of outsiders to help crack down on crime in Wyver. Some are against the change, as Wyvers have always believed more in freedom and independence, but there are some things only an organized peacekeeping force can accomplish. For now, the Ryders place a premium on finding and catching Rasyc’s old followers, wherever they may have scurried off too, as well as solve recent strings to criminal activity in Wyver.

REWARD:
▸ 50 silver per entry
▸ +1 Nadril REP
NADRIL: Magda's Disappearance
CLIENT: Nurray
Magda has vanished, leaving behind one last message on the computer screen in his room: “If you’re reading this, you have made the monumentally unsound decision to cooperate with the Natha, and I have taken my leave of you and disposed of their technology. Do not look for me.” However, he has taken some of the more usable tech that was salvaged from the ship a few months back with him, and even if he won’t return, Nurray wants it back. There are five pieces of technology that he has stolen: a long-range transmitter, a power core, a translation device, a magnetic field generator, and an experimental hand-held laser. Nurray requests that you investigate an area where he may have hidden them and bring them back - perhaps what is found there will also provide some insight as to his disappearance.
SIGN-UPS? Yes, five slots
QUEST DUE: Sunday 10/21 11:59pm EST
REWARD:
▸ Unique Nadril tem
▸ +1 Nadril REP
The Gilded Cage: Protect Your Interests
CLIENT: Cree
Daily routine has returned to life in Olympia - people mill about the rebuilt streets, a gentle din of chatter replacing cries for help. On the surface, the city has returned to normal, finally settled into peaceful days. However, the foundations of the great nation were not so easily repaired. Taking advantage of the rampant desperation that gripped the city, crime circles big and small have carved themselves a place in the rubble. These derelicts aren’t the only opportunists. Cree’s return is a jovial one; he knows the underground better than anyone else, and he intends to secure his domain. Rather than uproot and replace these petty thieves, the surge in crime will serve as a perfect opportunity to expand his web of influence. Where the Guard fails to protect, members of the Gilded Cage will stand against these fragmented groups… for a fee.
SIGN-UPS? Yes
QUEST DUE: Sunday 10/21 11:59pm EST
REWARD:
▸ Unique item
The Gilded Cage: Celestial Knowledge
CLIENT: Cree
Although not at the epicenter of the shock resounding from the revelation of the Natha’s true nature, Cree isn’t one to pass up an opportunity. Neither humbled nor disillusioned, he simply sees the exposition as an opportunity. The Natha’s technology is strange, its workings not well understood, an even playing field for anyone who gets their hands on it. Evras, without a doubt, has his eye on this new technology, among countless others. Timing, as well as a certain sense of ruthlessness, is instrumental in the race to secure the true gifts from Thesa. Take what you can, either from Nadril, or the station itself, and bring it back to the Gilded Cage. Just take care not to get caught, by natives to the icy town or fellow refugees.
SIGN-UPS? No
QUEST DUE: Sunday 10/21 11:59pm EST
REWARD:
▸ 200 silver for every major part brought back

None of these say they have limited slots -- just to confirm, is that correct? IE several different groups could do ones with sign-ups?

QUEST PLOTTING/PARTNER SEARCH

I'm also interested in doing Magda's Disappearance if anyone needs a partner for that, and I can also offer Ren as a partner for Shades Lighter or Rise of the Ryders if anyone needs one.

Quests: Anything in Olympia, tbh.
Thoughts: She can totally be a sidekick to whatever your character wants to do, really. If they wanna smuggle goods to the brothel, she'll help! She's recently been by there. She will also likely participate in some way in the Reformation of the Guards if your character either needs a medic on standby or a general person to frown at them. Either Gilded Cage quest is also up in the air, if someone wants to do something with those.
Who: Annie / (
Quests: Annie hasn't really picked a side, so this'd be a chance to persuade her. Either Gilded Cage quest, or anything in Nadril or Wyver would be more up her alley, really.
Thoughts: Definitely thinking Rise of the Ryders or Magda's Disappearance would be more her style, but really, she's adventure in a small blonde body, so she's game for anything.
Plotting here, Discord @ spycraft#8441, plurk @

I also wouldn't mind doing Lullaby for a Dragon with him, as well.

I'm open to doing any of the other quests too. I have debating throwing her into the Reformation of the Guards quest but that one she would only get involved with if she knows people already participating.
Anyways, feel free to hit me up here if you want to partner up for any of these quests and we can get something going!
